The problems of the regional development of the Russian Far East and the attempts of their centralised solution: the experience of the 1990s.

The article deals with the principle trends and results of the state policy on the territory of the Russian Far East in the 1990s. It analyses the socio-economic and political conditions, under which the government took measures to improve the situation, and the problems it faced when carrying them out.
